Following the Office of Public Works assesment of all sites with visitor services a roadmap for re-opening OPW sites nationwide was published some weeks ago. The roadmap outlines the sites which are due to re-open on a phased basis up to 10 August. Ferns Castle, Ballyhack Castle and Tintern Abbey currently do not fulfil the criteria and so are not listed for re-opening within that time-period. As the situation evolves over the summer the OPW will keep this decision under review.
