Enniscorthy, Ferns, Oulart

Enniscorthy is the rebel heartland of County Wexford from the 1798 battlefield sites of Oulart Hill and Vinegar Hill, to 1916 when Enniscorthy was the only town or city outside Dublin to be seized by the Irish Volunteers in the course of the Easter Rising. Step further back in time in Ferns, the ancient capital of Leinster, founded over 1,400 years ago by St Aidan and also home to King Diarmuid MacMurrough.

There is so much history to explore here area along with beautiful gardens and interesting craft studios. Take a break at the award-winning cafés you will find in the Garden Centres in this area. Find out more below!
